Brian Sodikoff, a partner in the Intellectual Property practice, is profiled in the Fall 2013 issue of DePaul Magazine as one of the university’s alumni making a difference. The article, “14 Under 40,” features graduates who are accomplished, engaged and eager to make positive changes in the lives of others. Brian uses his DePaul University College of Law education—which included concrete experience such as externships and internships with law firms and judges—to go to bat for generic drug companies, helping consumers gain access to less expensive drugs. He also appreciates the opportunity to work with lawyers who are just beginning their careers: “The general perception is that at large law firms, young associates are just thrown into a pile of documents and told to review them for two years. I can say unequivocally that’s not the case at Katten. Mentoring is something I really enjoy, and our younger attorneys often come up with new ideas or approaches.”
