Senior associate Nathaniel Lalone will speak at the Futures and Options Association's Compliance Forum event "Making Sense of Several Recent CFTC Releases" at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 25. The discussion will provide a high-level overview of several recent CFTC releases that seek to provide relief or clarity on the implications of the definition of "swap," with an emphasis on the CFTC's "temporary" definition of "US Person," the treatment of swaps entered into with non-US branches of US Persons, and the treatment of forex exchange swaps and forwards.
