(LONDON) Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP announced today that it was named as a top firm for international pro bono services by The American Lawyer. Katten was ranked fourth among all US law firms for pro bono efforts in non-US offices.

"Katten's long history of providing diverse pro bono services inspires our attorneys to become involved in pro bono projects with the same unwavering dedication, commitment to hard work and legal excellence that we bring to all legal matters," said Peter Sugden, managing partner of Katten UK.

Katten's pro bono services in the United Kingdom include performing corporate governance work, obtaining charitable tax-exempt status, and providing commercial advice for nonprofit organizations that help the disadvantaged, the arts, developing countries and children with autism. Earlier this month Katten honoured two of its London attorneys, Victoria Rodley and Philip Watkins, for demonstrating a long-term commitment to using their legal skills on behalf of those in need as part of the firm's 17th Annual Pro Bono Service Awards.

"The London team sets the pace for exceptional volunteer services," said Jonathan K. Baum, Katten's Director of Pro Bono Services. "They lead by example when it comes to pro bono, and we are so proud of their efforts."
