The summer associate program is designed to show summer associates the work life they might realistically expect if they were to join our firm. Each summer associate, with the advice and counsel of the attorneys coordinating the summer program, selects assignments from practice areas in which he or she has an interest. This process allows a summer associate the flexibility of experiencing a broad range of practice areas or focusing on selected areas of concentration. An extensive trial practice program, negotiation workshop and other in-house training programs designed specifically for summer associates occur on a regular basis throughout the summer. We encourage our summer associates to attend various in-house workshops and seminars developed in connection with our associates' continuing legal education.
With our diverse client base, summer associates have the opportunity to work on teams handling major matters for both emerging entrepreneurial and large institutional clients. At Katten, you will find a firm with open doors and open minds that is open to change. You will have the ability to progress as quickly as your talent allows.
