Gil Soffer, a partner in the Firm’s White Collar Criminal and Civil Litigation Practice, was quoted in a Report on Medicare Compliance article on the jury deliberation in the Tenet Healthcare/Alvarado Hospital case involving physician relocation agreements. In the article, Mr. Soffer notes that it’s not unusual for jurors to get “hung up” on a very complicated case and for the judge to tell them to keep at it before there is a verdict or mistrial (Report on Medicare Compliance, March 13, 2006).
